  • How Much Does the Myrtle Beach Preseason Classic Cost?

    The 2017 tournament costs $199 USD per person. That entry fee includes a tournament welcome gift, 3 rounds of tournament golf, welcome registration function with some complimentary drinks and food and an awards lunch following the third round.

  • How Do I Enter?

    Register Now

    You can (1) enter both team members at once, (2) enter just yourself and have your team member sign up separately or (3) sign up as a single and we will pair you with someone else.

  • What is the Tournament Format?

    The Preseason Classic is a two-person team event. The daily formats are:

    • Round 1 – Best Ball
    • Round 2 – Combined Team Net
    • Round 3 – Texas Scramble

    The tournament will be scored with net results using a percentage of each player’s handicap.

  • Can I enter as a Single Player?

    Yes, you may enter as a single and we will pair you with another single to create your two-person team!

  • Is there a Host Hotel?

    Please visit the Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday site to view all of our Member properties. There is a small list of host hotels listed here.

  • What Golf Courses are Hosting Rounds?

    Each flight will play a different Myrtle Beach golf course each of the three days. Check out the GREAT courses hosting rounds for the 2017 Classic!

    Participating Courses

    Course assignments will be released after entry is closed and all handicaps have been collected to complete the flighting process.

  • When are the starting times for golf?

    All courses will have a 9:00 AM shotgun start each day. Please plan to arrive at the course at least 30 minutes prior to your start time.

  • What tees will we play?

    Men will play from the standard white tees, Seniors 60+ will have the option to play from senior tees, and Ladies will play from the Red tees.

  • Can we request to be on the same course as another team?

    You may request to play in the same flight as another team, but all players will have to play down to the lowest team handicap of the players involved. For example: If TEAM 1 has a 32.4 handicap and wanted to play with TEAM 2 that has a 19.2 handicap, then TEAM 1 would be flighted with each player being equally adjusted to reach a team handicap of 19.2. Once flighting is complete, TEAM 1 will have their handicaps restored to the highest threshold of that flight (not to exceed their original handicaps) in order to give them as much of their original handicap as possible (If the threshold was 24.2, then each TEAM 1 member would receive half of the 5.0 index points and play at a team handicap of 24.2 for the event). Requesting to be in the same flight as a friend DOES NOT mean you will be placed in the same grouping.

    The tournament committee requires all Play Together requests to be made on the handicap submission form that is sent to you on January 15th. We will not accept it in any other format. No changes will be made to a player’s flight once the course assignments are announced.

  • What is the Cancellation Policy?

    The Preseason Classic will refund any participant that may cancel between their date of entry and January 14, 2017 minus a $25 cancellation fee. Any cancellation received after January 14, 2017 and before 5:00PM EST on January 28, 2017 will be refunded, minus a $100 cancellation fee. Cancellations received after 5:00PM EST on January 28, 2017 will not be refunded any of their entry fee. All cancellations must be in writing and sent to the Tournament staff either by email or by direct mail.   • Who can attend?

    The Myrtle Beach Preseason Classic is open to EVERYONE!

    Singles are always welcome and will be paired prior to the event.
